In 2010, parishioner Barbara Hooker had a dream. She wanted to gather members of the Rutland community, people from all strata in town, to sit down to have lunch together and to share with one another their experiences of what it is to live in our community. She envisioned a once-a-month luncheon that Trinity Church would host, and she made it happen. Beginning in February of 2010, Trinity has hosted a luncheon one Saturday per month and people came. Currently on the 4th Saturday of the month, the luncheons have served on average 75-100 meals per luncheons. A volunteer also oversees a table of free goods provided for those who are either homeless or on the margins that need extra support for basics like shampoo, detergent, paper towels, socks, etc. Please contact Winnie Grace if you would like to help.
