Trinity Episcopal Church of Rutland, VT
Our Rector
The Rev. Sarah Ginolfi
Mother Sarah grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and embraced ministry in The Episcopal Church at a young age. She served on the altar during childhood and then as a camp counselor with the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania in her teenage years. Throughout this time and in the years that followed, Sarah participated in various mission trips and pilgrimages both within the United States and beyond. She has a special heart for the relationships she’s made in Brazil. Sarah studied English and Writing at Messiah College (2008) and received her Certificate of Anglican Studies/Master of Divinity from Berkeley Divinity School/Yale Divinity School (2014). After seminary, she served as the Parish Missioner at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Indianapolis where she led a team to plant St. Paul’s on the Way, an offsite neighborhood venue to expand St. Paul’s reach on the community. She then served as the Senior Associate Priest at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Medina, Washington where she carried out various duties and helped create a weekday alternative worship service. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, making theatre, and exploring new cultures. She delights in showing people Jesus and spreading God’s message of reconciliation and love wherever she goes. Sarah is married to Christina who has two girls.
Mother Sarah was called by Bishop Shannon MacVean-Brown to be Priest-in-Charge of Trinity Church, Rutland and began her three-year appointment in March of 2021. In February 2024, after due diligence, the Vestry called Mother Sarah to be our rector. She accepted and the Letter of agreement was joyfully endorsed by the Bishop.
